Some engagement sessions just flow effortlessly—and Alexis and Kyle’s session at Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park, Florida was one of those magical afternoons that reminds me why I love what I do so much.
Alexis and Kyle drove all the way from St. Augustine for their engagement session, which already says so much about how intentional they are. Even with an overcast December sky, the day surprised us with slightly warm temperatures and the most beautiful, soft light—perfect for the light & airy, romantic style they booked me for.
From the moment we started, these two were an absolute dream to photograph. Their chemistry was natural, genuine, and effortless. No stiff posing, no forcing moments—just two people deeply in love, laughing, holding each other close, and completely present with one another. They trusted me fully, which allowed me to capture their connection in an authentic and timeless way.
Mead Botanical Garden was the perfect backdrop for their session. The lush greenery, winding paths, and quiet corners paired beautifully with the soft winter light, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere. Overcast days often bring the most flattering light, and this session was proof of that—soft, even tones and a dreamy glow that elevated every image.
Beyond how stunning they looked together, Alexis and Kyle were simply a joy to be around. We got along so well, and it felt more like spending time with friends than working. Sessions like this make the experience just as meaningful as the final images.
I am already counting down the days to their wedding on February 14, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. A Valentine’s Day wedding? It doesn’t get more romantic than that. Knowing these two, it’s going to be a grand, elegant, and love-filled celebration, and I am so honored to be the one capturing it.
