There is something incredibly special about intimate weddings. The focus shifts away from the distractions and centers entirely on what matters most, the couple, their love story, and the people closest to them.

Logan and Thomas chose the beautiful Azalea Lodge at Mead Botanical Garden for their wedding day, and it could not have been a more perfect setting. Nestled within the lush grounds of Winter Park, this charming venue offers a beautiful blend of natural beauty and timeless elegance. Surrounded by towering oak trees, winding garden paths, and lush Florida landscapes, Azalea Lodge provides a peaceful and romantic backdrop for couples looking to celebrate in nature.

The day began with Logan getting ready in the bridal suite, surrounded by excitement and anticipation. Every detail was coming together as she prepared to see Thomas waiting for her at the altar.

Outside, the Florida weather kept everyone guessing. Much of the day was filled with dark clouds, and it looked as though rain might arrive at any moment. As photographers, we know how unpredictable Florida weather can be, but sometimes wedding days have a way of creating their own magic.

Just as Logan began walking down the aisle, the clouds parted and the sun emerged. Warm golden light shined down on her as she made her way toward Thomas, creating one of the most beautiful moments of the day. It felt as if nature itself had perfectly timed the sunshine for her grand entrance.

After the ceremony, we spent time capturing family portraits before exploring the gardens with the newlyweds. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at Mead Botanical Garden is the variety of gorgeous locations available for portraits. From shaded oak trees and charming pathways to lush greenery and peaceful garden views, every corner offers a stunning backdrop.

With the formal portraits complete, Logan and Thomas shared their first dance as husband and wife surrounded by their closest family and friends. We also captured their cake cutting, another sweet moment that reflected the joy and intimacy of their celebration.

Although I wasn’t booked for the reception, I loved being able to document these meaningful moments before the evening festivities continued. Their wedding was a beautiful reminder that intimate celebrations often create some of the most heartfelt memories.
