Katie and Ryan’s engagement session at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park was nothing short of magical. This location is one of Florida’s true hidden gems—where lush botanical gardens meet the rugged coastline of coquina rock formations. It gave us the perfect blend of romantic greenery and breathtaking beach views, and it fit their vision beautifully.
A Walk Through the Gardens
We began our session wandering through the peaceful pathways of the gardens. Washington Oaks is filled with towering oak trees, blooming flowers, elegant stone features, and quiet corners that feel straight out of a fairytale. As we walked, I got to learn more about Katie and Ryan—their story, their wedding plans, and the sweet way they interact with one another.
The gardens were glowing with soft light, and these two made every moment effortless. Their laughter, natural chemistry, and gentle connection made my job easy.
Heading to the Beach for Sunset
After exploring the gardens, we made our way across the park to the beach—one of the most unique and iconic coastlines in Florida. The coquina rock formations created the most incredible texture and depth in the photos. As the sun dipped lower, we captured dreamy, romantic portraits with waves crashing behind them and the sky turning soft shades of pastel.
Florida’s east coast beaches always bring something special, and this evening with Katie and Ryan was no exception. The combination of garden elegance and rugged shoreline gave their gallery the perfect variety.
